The
next South Pole Race begins on 1st January 2012 celebrating the
100th Anniversry of Scott and Amundsen's race to be the first people
to reach the Geographic South Pole.
The
race covers 430 nautical miles spilt into two stages of approximately
the same length testing both the stamina, will power and durability
of the entrants.
In
2009 a documentary was aired on BBC 2 covering the expolits of James
Cracknell and Ben Fogle who undertook the race gaining a lot of
media attention.
